CDM Co‚Äźordination

The introduction of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations in 1994 brought about the legal requirement for Planning Supervision on all applicable construction projects.

The CDM Regulations were substantially revised on 6 April 2015. These revisions saw the role of CDM Co-ordinator transferred to a Principal Designer and Principal Contractor. The Principal Designer (PD) is responsible for the pre-construction phase whilst the Principal Contractor is responsible for the construction phase.

RDJW Architects Limited have been carrying out the role of Principal Designer on a large range of projects over the past years since the introduction of the regulations.

Our experience allows us to assist you in complying with your legal obligations in a manner which is proportionate to the nature, scale and level of health and safety risks involved in the project.
